SafenSoft, a Russian developer of proactive endpoint protection tools, has released a new version of the SoftControl DeCrypt disk encryption tool, which allows to prevent attacks on self-service devices with the Linux operating system.
The encryption of ATM disks is necessary to protect information that can give attackers the opportunity to enter the banking system. SoftControl DeCrypt uses reliable encryption algorithms in combination with the parameters of system and peripheral devices to create encryption and decryption keys, which allows you to bypass the operational limitations of ATMs located in different locations.
"The introduction of Linux support in the SafenSoft line is a response to the changing Russian market of self–service devices. As part of the import substitution strategy, banks are opting for products that minimize their risks. Having worked with Windows for more than 20 years, when migrating functionality, we set ourselves two tasks: the first is to provide the same level of protection for both platforms and the second is to make seamless management of a single ATM fleet, since replacement is usually carried out gradually. But here it is worth considering that support for Windows 10 ends in 2025, so the process can go faster," commented Svetozar Yakhontov, CEO of SafenSoft.
SoftControl DeCrypt is part of a comprehensive SafenSoft solution that provides multi-level protection and event monitoring from a single window. In addition to high reliability, confirmed by numerous pentests, SafenSoft products allow you to undergo annual regulatory audits for compliance with information security standards with minimal effort.
